McCain on the Rebound?

Despite all the hype that followed Fred Thompson surpassing John McCain by three points in last week's LA Times poll, few people seem to have noticed that the latest surveys have given the momentum to McCain.

First, an ARG poll (conducted April 9-12) showed the standing of the top five contenders as:

Giuliani 27%
McCain 23%
Romney 12%
Gingrich 10%
F. Thompson 9%

Second, we have a CNN poll conducted April 10-12:

Giuliani 27%
McCain 24%
F. Thompson 11%
Romney 10%
Gingrich 8%

Both were put together the days leading up to and the days after McCain's Iraq speech at the Virginia Military Institute. I'd like to wait until after the new Rasmussen numbers come out before removing the question mark after "rebound."

Also, McCain's campaign website added a nifty Donor Lookup page.
